Our Story
Eat in the Cave began as a small idea with a big purpose: to share warm, hearty meals with busy people who rarely get the chance to slow down and enjoy great food. Eddie and Zina, the husband-and-wife team behind the concept, started their journey from their own home kitchen. Fueled by Zina’s passion for cooking and Eddie’s knack for connecting with the community, they set out to make their dream a reality.
They began by delivering freshly made lunches to fast-paced spaces like barbershops, where people often worked long hours with little time to grab a good meal. The feedback was instant and inspiring—the food reminded people of home, of family, of the flavors they grew up with. From there, they expanded their reach, delivering meals to local car dealerships, making sure employees and customers could enjoy something warm and satisfying during their busy day.
It was clear they were onto something special, and they didn’t want to stop there. Zina and Eddie wanted everyone to taste their food and experience the joy it brought to others. That’s when the idea of a food truck came to life. With the launch of Eat in the Cave, they took their kitchen on the road, bringing the flavors of Puerto Rican and Caribbean Soul Food to neighborhoods and communities all over.
For Zina and Eddie, it’s always been about more than just food—it’s about connection. They’re proud to share meals that warm the soul, bring people together, and keep them fueled for their busy lives. From their cave to yours, Eat in the Cave is a celebration of flavor, tradition, and community.
